About RedFox Homes
End-to-end property renovation, managed properly fromfirst survey to handover
RedFox Homes exists so anyone renovating a property in Oxfordshire can hand the whole problem over, the trades, the sequencing, the budget and the compliance, and get back a finished building. Whether that is a family home to live in, a short-let ready for guests, or a licensed HMO, the process is the same.
Our Story
Run by a project managerwho still walks the site
RedFox Homes is led by Darryl Johnson and based in Wantage. The core team is 4 people, and every trade on site is an independent subcontract business, brought in for the parts of a project they are genuinely best at.
Who we help
Landlords building or maintaining a rental portfolio, property investors buying to refurbish and let or sell, short-let operators who need a property that photographs and performs, and homeowners who want the same standard of project management on their own house.
What we specialise in
End-to-end renovation, finished for three end uses: your own home, a short-let, or an HMO. That means full property refurbishments, kitchens and bathrooms specified for real use, short-let design, setup and furnishing, HMO renovations and conversions, interior design, furniture packages and renovation project management.
Depth of service
We work end to end: sourcing, design, build, furnish, ready-to-let or ready-to-live-in, ready-to-let or ready-to-sell. Building control, fire regulations and HMO licensing where it applies are handled directly rather than handed back to you, which is usually the part clients are most relieved to let go of.
Where we work
From our Wantage base we cover Oxfordshire, including Oxford, Botley, Headington, Abingdon, Didcot, Kennington, Kidlington, Banbury, Witney.
Mission & Standards
The standard we holdevery project to
One point of contact, start to finish
Every project runs through Darryl Johnson. You are not passed between trades, and you are not left chasing who is on site tomorrow. Sourcing, design, build and furnishing all sit under the same management.
Compliance handled directly, not delegated to you
Building control, fire regulations and, where the end use calls for it, HMO licensing are managed as part of the works. A property is not finished when the decorating is done: it is finished when it is safe, signed off and ready for the use it was built for.
Specified before it is built
Kitchens, bathrooms, finishes and furniture are specified up front so decisions are not made under pressure on site. That is what keeps a programme on schedule and a budget honest.
Built for occupancy, not for showrooms
These are working assets. Materials and details are chosen so they survive tenants, turnover and back-to-back short-let stays rather than looking good for one photo shoot.
Our guarantee is deliberately plain: completed works typically carry a 6-month workmanship guarantee, varying by the specific element of work. If something is not right within that period, we come back and put it right.
